In its regular meeting called to order at 7pm on July 28, 2008 following prayer, devotion and previous minutes approved, your session took the following actions:
1. Motion made and passed to elect Beverly Edwards as Session Clerk pro tem for this meeting.
2. Motion made & passed for the fellowship hall to be reserved on August 2 and 23.
3.Motion made and passed for CPW to rent booth spaces for the craft bazaar for $25.00
4. Mission: General Operating account $3008.22, CPW bake sale September fellowship meal, start visitation on September 27th, chairperson of each committee set estimates for their portion of the budget and submit to committee by September.
5. Building: no recommendations
6. Worship- no recommendations
7. Fellowship- receive Katherine Pierce into full fellowship of the church on July 13, 2008 by letter, Bro. Tommy will be gone on August 17th and has asked Scott to preach.
8. Christian Ed- Betty & Jyl Elementary teachers, assign families to work in the nursery each week for SS and Worship 1-2 Sundays a year start in September.

Time spent talking over concerns and needs of our church family. Motion was made to adjourn.  gave the closing prayer. The next scheduled meeting is August 18, 2008 at 7:00pm.



CPW meets on the 2nd Sunday night of each month at 6:30. All ladies in the church are invited. This is a time of fellowship, Bible Study and food.  Cookbook fundraiser- Need each family to submit recipes for a dessert, appetizer, soup & salad, bread & rolls, main dishes, beverages. Also submit a whole dinner menu. If you have email access, email to helenacpchurch@bellsouth.net if not please write them out and give to Brandi. The cookbook will be dedicated to Ms. Eth Miller.
The CPW will also be hosting this years Craft Bazaar. It will be November 22. If you have a special talent for making things please get started now. We will need many things to sell.
